VPN setup checklist · browser-only review
Review a VPN profile against its documentation
Review protocol-specific VPN profile fields, routes, DNS, and server identity against the documentation for your exact provider and device. No profile text is collected or checked.
Use this browser-local checklist to review a WireGuard or OpenVPN profile against the instructions from the provider or administrator who supplied it. It records only which review steps you mark; it does not inspect, configure, or test a VPN connection.
Do not paste or upload a profile, private key, certificate, password, or recovery secret. Review sensitive values only in the provider's app or an approved local editor.

What this checklist does not verify
WireGuard and OpenVPN use different profile concepts. A matching label does not prove that a value is correct, and this page cannot validate a key, certificate, server name, route, DNS path, or provider account. The profile issuer's current instructions take precedence over this summary.
Reviewing the fields also does not prove the connection works or that all device traffic uses the VPN. Check the app's connection state, the expected routing scope, and any separate kill-switch or DNS settings using documentation for your exact platform. Stop and ask the administrator before changing a work or school VPN profile.

How it works
Choose WireGuard or OpenVPN to see a short documentation review checklist. Mark only fields you have checked against the issuer's instructions; this page never asks you to paste or upload a configuration profile.
Good to know
Does this checklist validate or configure my VPN profile?
No. It tracks review steps you mark yourself. It does not read profile contents, install settings, verify certificates or keys, test routes, or prove that a VPN connection is secure.
Should I paste my VPN configuration here?
No. Do not enter or upload a VPN profile, private key, certificate, password, or other credential. Review those items inside the provider's app or an approved local editor.
Are WireGuard and OpenVPN fields interchangeable?
No. The checklist displays different concepts for the selected protocol. Use the instructions from the provider or administrator who supplied the profile and the official protocol documentation.
Does checking every item mean my VPN is set up correctly?
No. The checklist only summarizes your selections. The operating system, VPN app, provider, and administrator may apply additional requirements; confirm behavior using their current instructions and a suitable test.
